Grand Valley/Heber Valley National Bank has the highest regard for the privacy of our customers and, as a result, we safeguard the privacy of users of our web site, just as we safeguard the privacy of all customers. We consider serving you to be a privilege and considers guarding your privacy our obligation. The following covers the circumstances in which we will collect, maintain and use any information that you may provide us. This includes information that you provide to us when you apply for any of our accounts or services.

 

Use, Collection and Retention of Customer Information

Grand Valley/Heber Valley National Bank will use information collected from you to provide you with the services and products you request. We will also use information to identify you in our attempt to know our customers, to communicate with you and to help us respond to your questions.

When you provide us with information various employees may see your information. We maintain your personally identifying information in a secure computer system. We have procedures and security levels that limit employee access to personally identifiable information to those employees with a business reason to know such information about you. We educate our employees about the importance of confidentiality and customer privacy through standard operating procedures, special training programs, and Grand/Heber Valley National Bank's Standards of Conduct Policy. We continually review these procedures and policies to ensure the highest level of security in regard to your private information. We take appropriate disciplinary measures when necessary to enforce employee privacy responsibilities.

Information regarding customers should be reliable, both to protect GVNB/HVNB as well as individual customers. If a customer notifies us that information is inaccurate, we will correct the information in a timely manner.

We may disclose information about your accounts as well as personal information provided to the Bank to credit bureaus or agencies who have a legitimate purpose for obtaining the information. We also may disclose information about your accounts to third parties:

  • When it is necessary for completing transactions and transfers or the related bookkeeping and accounting.
  • To verify the existence and condition of your account for a third party, such as a credit bureau or merchant.
  • When the disclosure is required or allowed by law.
  • When you give us permission.

Maintaining Customer Privacy in our Business Relationships

We will not sell personal information to a third party for the purpose of solicitation or provide personal information to a third party for its own independent use. However, from time to time, Grand/Heber Valley National Bank contracts with outside vendors and other business partners to perform specific services for the Bank. When doing so, Grand/Heber Valley National Bank selects business partners and vendors that adhere to similar privacy standards as that of the Bank. We expect that our business partners and vendors will honor and safeguard any information regarding a Grand Valley/Heber Valley National Bank customer.
